About
Raised in San Diego, California, Miriam Dance has made a name for herself in music, education, and performing arts as a performer, singer-songwriter, and founder of MDance Productions… And she is just getting started!
Her voice and creativity brought her to Santa Barbara, CA where she earned her BA in Theatre Directing and Playwriting from UCSB. Miriam has participated in theatre productions, such as Gospel and Rock and Roll Cabarets with Lambs Players Theater in San Diego, Fires In the Mirror,” (UCSB; Associate Director), Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act (SDMT). “To Kill a Mockingbird (REP of St. Louis) to name a few.
Miriam released her first EP, entitled, “Heartstrings” in 2019 and has been performing and a featured artist all over the California coast for over ten years. Most recently, Miriam has had the honored to be a featured performer at the Granada with the Santa Barbara Orchestra as well as a featured voice alongside members of the Original Broadway cast of Rent for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Hot Pink Evening. Be it the lead singer of the rock band, Something This Way Magic, founder of her own band, MDance, and Friends, or a soloist, Miriam brings her talents to every occasion!
Most recently, Miriam has brought soul and gospel to Santa Barbara with her newest production as part of MDance Productions, Gospel Brunch, hosted regularly at Soho Restaurant, while working as Director of Visual and Performing Arts at The Riviera Ridge School. She is excited for the release of her new single, Georgia on My Mind coming soon to all platforms and participate in the upcoming production of Jesus Christ Superstar produced by One Box Theatre this spring! Miriam Dance remains dedicated to creating community-driven musical spaces for all to enjoy… and she is just getting started!
MDance Gospel Brunch
The Santa Barbara-born gospel and soul experience produced by Miriam Dance is going on the road! A dynamic 1.5-hour show filled with gospel, soul, laughs, and happy tears utilizes a live band, choir, and special guests! Having multiple sold-out shows in Santa Barbara, Gospel Brunch is ready to spread the love to community organizations and churches this year, working with a community choir and talent to bring everyone together, no matter their background!

MDance Sings
If you are looking for a dedicated talent for your wedding, private event, or tribute show, you are looking for Miriam. Having sung for most of her life, Miriam brings power and intimacy simultaneously to every event, no matter the size of the venue. Her range spans rock, soul, gospel, R&B, funk, Jazz, Neo-Soul, and more, as a solo act or with her live band, MDance & Friends, as a quartet, or trio! Be it her original works or the best of one of the greats, either way, you are in for a treat.

Miriam not only studied Theatre Directing and Playwriting at the University of Santa Barbara, but she also has extensive experience in performing in productions as well!
